There are five playable classes in Heroes & Generals, and an additional sixth class for exclusively playing the RTS.
Infantry
Infantry are the backbone of any army. They are the first available class to players upon joining a Faction. Each Infantry starts with a semi-automatic rifle.
- The United States Army Infantryman start with the M1 Garand
- The German Infantryman start with the Gewehr 43
- The Red Army Infantryman start with the Tokarev SVT-40
Tank Crew
Where tanks are, the front is. Tankers are the men who control these deadly metal beasts on the battlefield.
- The United States Army Tankers Start with a M3 Grease Gun SMG and the M2A2 Light Tank
- The German Tankers Start with a MP34 SMG and the Panzer I Ausf. A
- The Red Army Tankers start with a PPD-40 SMG and the T-38 Model 1937
Paratrooper
Paratroopers are elite Soldiers who are dropped into the battlefield with parachutes from planes,they can only carry Limited equipment and fight as light infantry , but the sheer suprise of attacking from above will more then make up for this.
